Office Manager Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a office manager in New Hampshire?
Most New Hampshire employers expect at minimum an associate degree in business administration, though a bachelor's degree is increasingly preferred for roles in healthcare and finance. Office manager is not a state-licensed profession in New Hampshire, so no board exam or registration is required. Candidates typically build toward the role through positions such as administrative coordinator or executive assistant, then pursue credentials like the Certified Administrative Professional designation to strengthen their applications.
How much do office managers make in New Hampshire?
Office managers in New Hampshire earn a median of about $73,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,960 for the lowest 10% to over $107,810 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire office managers in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire office manager roles are posted by Aspen Dental, Dartmouth College, and Genesis HealthCare and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Hampshire's concentration of regional hospital networks, defense contractors, and state agencies means hiring is active year-round across both Manchester's commercial corridor and the Upper Valley's healthcare campuses.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most office manager jobs?
Nashua, Manchester, and Hanover consistently lead New Hampshire in office manager openings. Manchester's density of healthcare providers, insurance firms, and corporate headquarters drives the largest share of postings, while Nashua benefits from its proximity to the Massachusetts border and a strong technology and defense manufacturing base, and Concord's state government offices and regional medical facilities anchor demand in the capital region.
Are there remote office manager jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, but they're rare. About 11% of office manager openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's inherently on-site nature, since most office managers oversee facilities, staff scheduling, and in-person operations. The portions of the role most likely to be performed remotely are vendor communications, payroll processing, and reporting functions at companies with distributed teams.
How can I get hired as a office manager in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a receptionist, administrative assistant, or medical office coordinator role at a large New Hampshire employer such as a Dartmouth Health affiliate or a Manchester-area insurance company, then building toward office management internally. Many New Hampshire community colleges, including NHTI in Concord, offer business administration programs that employers recognize. A Certified Administrative Professional credential or demonstrated experience with scheduling software and budget tracking gives candidates a measurable edge when applying for a first office manager title.
Where can I find and apply to office manager jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to office manager jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Manchester, Nashua, Concord, and other New Hampshire locations.
