In The Black Consulting is a growing eCommerce advisory and 3PL business helping brands build the operational foundation they need to scale.

We work across marketplace strategy, Amazon, Target and Walmart operations, inventory management, fulfillment, warehousing and logistics. Our 3PL operation is expanding to support multiple clients, brands, SKUs and warehouse locations.

We're looking for an eCommerce operator who can take ownership of the day-to-day marketplace and client operations side of the business.

This is not a traditional warehouse manager position and it is not primarily a paid advertising role. We need someone who understands how Amazon and Walmart actually operate and can connect what is happening on the marketplaces with inventory, fulfillment, our warehouse team and our clients.

What You'll Own

Amazon, Target & Walmart Marketplace Operations

You will own day-to-day operational management of Amazon Seller Central, TGT+ and Walmart Marketplace for assigned clients, including:

• Catalog and listing management
• New SKU setup and launches
• Variations and item maintenance
• Listing suppressions and operational issues
• Seller Central cases and issue resolution
• Account health monitoring
• FBA/FBM inventory and replenishment
• Walmart Marketplace operations
• Inventory availability and stockout monitoring
• Coordination of FBA/Walmart/retailer shipments with our warehouse
• Basic marketplace reporting and operational analysis

You'll also support Shopify and additional marketplaces as our clients expand.

Client & 3PL Operations

You will be the day-to-day operational connection between our clients and warehouse team.

Responsibilities include:

• Client onboarding
• SKU, UPC, carton and case-pack data management
• WMS client and SKU setup
• Coordinating expected inbound shipments and receiving information
• Monitoring inventory across warehouse and marketplace locations
• Identifying inventory discrepancies and coordinating resolution
• Supporting inventory forecasting and replenishment
• Managing operational calendars, launches and deadlines
• Maintaining client action items and open issues
• Preparing operational and inventory reporting
• Running or participating in client status meetings
• Escalating risks before they become client problems

Our Warehouse Manager owns the physical movement and accuracy of inventory inside the warehouse. You will own the system, marketplace and client side of the operation.

Vendor & Advertising Coordination

We have separate resources responsible for paid advertising execution. You will help make sure those resources stay aligned with client priorities, budgets and deadlines.

You'll track open deliverables, reporting and approved budgets, follow up when something isn't getting done and escalate performance or strategic issues when appropriate.

You are not expected to personally manage paid advertising campaigns.

Systems & Process

We're building an operation designed to scale.

You'll become a power user of our warehouse management system and help us create repeatable processes for:

• Client onboarding
• Marketplace setup
• SKU setup
• Inventory management
• Receiving and fulfillment coordination
• FBA/Walmart replenishment
• Returns
• Reporting
• Client communication
• Vendor management

We want someone who sees a broken process and thinks, “How do we make sure this doesn't happen again?”

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of hands-on Amazon Seller Central experience
• Strong understanding of Amazon marketplace operations
• Experience managing catalog, inventory, FBA and marketplace issues
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Excellent organization and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a growing business
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Willingness to learn and become highly proficient in warehouse/WMS operations

Strongly preferred:

• Walmart Marketplace experience
• TGT+ experience
• Shopify experience
• Experience working for an eCommerce brand, marketplace agency or 3PL
• WMS or inventory management system experience
• Experience coordinating FBA replenishment
• Experience working across multiple brands or client accounts
• Understanding of B2B/retail fulfillment, EDI or retailer routing requirements

Who Will Be Successful Here

This role is for an operator, not someone who waits for a task list.

You might notice that Amazon inventory will stock out in three weeks, determine what's available in the warehouse, coordinate replenishment with the warehouse manager, resolve an issue with the shipment, update the client and make sure the task is actually completed.

You are comfortable asking questions when you don't know something, but once you understand the objective, you take ownership.

You like details, but you also understand why the details matter to the business.

You're comfortable joining a growing company where we're building some of the processes and systems as we scale.

What You Won't Be Responsible For

You won't be expected to personally run the warehouse floor, pick and pack daily orders, manage accounting, execute paid advertising campaigns or sell new business.

You will work closely with our Founder, Warehouse Manager, warehouse team, advertising resources and bookkeeper.

Location

This role will support our warehouse operations in Mooresville, Indiana.

I'd strongly prefer someone who can be onsite regularly, particularly during onboarding, WMS implementation, major inbound shipments and new-client launches.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
