Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff management.
• Oversee employee orientation, training & development to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products and procedures.
• Manage hiring processes such as interviewing candidates and recruiting new team members to build a strong retail sales team.
• Handle payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory management through stock ordering, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to optimize sales.
• Implement operational policies related to purchasing, budgeting, and store safety protocols while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Foster excellent customer service by addressing escalated issues promptly and maintaining high standards of communication skills across the team.
• Coordinate shift management duties including scheduling, cashier oversight, and supervising sales floor activities to maximize productivity.
• Utilize management tools for sales management, retail math calculations, and store performance analysis to meet business goals.
• Promote a positive work environment through leadership in supervising experience, team management, and managerial communication.

Experience

• Proven experience in retail management or operations management within a retail or grocery store environment.
• Demonstrated ability in supervising teams with strong leadership skills in employee orientation, training & development.
• Extensive background in retail sales management including merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control.
• Skilled in negotiation with vendors or suppliers as well as managing purchasing processes effectively.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills required for daily operations.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to enhance communication with diverse customer bases and team members.
• Prior assistant manager or managerial experience in retail stores is highly desirable to ensure smooth transition into the role.
