Sales Development Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales development manager in Arizona?
Sales development manager is not a state-licensed role in Arizona, so there is no Arizona-specific exam or registration required. Most hiring managers in Arizona expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications paired with several years of inside or outbound sales experience, ideally including time spent coaching or mentoring SDR teams. Earning a recognized sales certification such as Salesforce Administrator or a HubSpot Sales certification strengthens a candidacy considerably in the Phoenix and Scottsdale technology markets.
How much do sales development managers make in Arizona?
Sales development managers in Arizona earn a median of about $145,690 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $74,510 for the lowest 10% to over $255,220 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales development managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring sales development managers in Arizona right now include Insight, Colgate-Palmolive, and Adir International, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of technology headquarters and regional financial services offices in the Greater Phoenix area means demand from both established enterprise employers and high-growth SaaS companies remains consistent throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most sales development manager jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Chandler have the most sales development manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix drives the largest share of demand as the state's primary corporate headquarters hub for technology, insurance, and financial services companies, while Scottsdale and Tempe attract openings tied to SaaS firms, fintech startups, and Tempe's dense tech corridor anchored by companies with large inside sales operations.
Are there remote sales development manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. Sales development manager work is largely desk-based and communication-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 45% of sales development manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broad employer acceptance of distributed sales teams. Fully remote openings tend to cluster in SaaS and technology companies, while financial services and healthcare IT employers more often require hybrid schedules tied to a Phoenix or Scottsdale office.
How can I get hired as a sales development manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving into a team lead or senior SDR role first, then stepping into management once you have documented coaching results. Large Arizona employers such as GoDaddy, Axon, and regional insurance carriers regularly hire SDRs and inside sales representatives with the explicit expectation of promoting strong performers into management. Earning a Salesforce Administrator credential or completing HubSpot's Sales Management certification signals readiness for leadership and is taken seriously by Arizona hiring managers screening candidates without a formal management title on their resume.
Where can I find and apply to sales development manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to sales development manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and the broader state. Find roles that fit your experience level and target industry, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
