Sales Executive Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales executive in Hawaii?
Most sales executive roles in Hawaii require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field combined with several years of progressive sales experience. For roles in insurance or financial products, candidates must hold an active Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs license, which involves a pre-licensing course and a state exam. In hospitality and real estate sales, employers favor candidates with direct Hawaii market experience and established local client networks.
How much do sales executives make in Hawaii?
Sales executives in Hawaii earn a median of about $116,340 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,290 for the lowest 10% to over $218,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales executives in Hawaii?
Employers hiring sales executives in Hawaii right now include Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, and Hyatt Vacation Ownership, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's concentrated economy means large anchors in hospitality, healthcare, and finance tend to drive the steadiest volume of sales executive openings across the islands.
Which Hawaii cities have the most sales executive jobs?
The cities with the most sales executive openings in Hawaii are Honolulu, Lahaina, and Waikoloa. Honolulu dominates because it hosts the headquarters of most major Hawaii-based corporations, financial institutions, and healthcare systems, while Maui and Hilo attract openings tied to resort management companies and regional distributors serving those island economies.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 10% of sales executive openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and relationship-management nature of the role. Account management, SaaS sales, and financial consulting positions are the segments most likely to offer fully remote or hybrid arrangements for Hawaii-based candidates.
How can I get hired as a sales executive in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a mid-size Honolulu company, where quota-carrying responsibility builds quickly. Large Hawaii employers in hospitality, such as resort operators and travel management firms, regularly hire entry-level sales coordinators who move into executive roles. Earning a Hawaii insurance license through the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, or completing a CRM certification, gives candidates a measurable edge over other applicants without a long sales history.
Where can I find and apply to sales executive jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to sales executive jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the islands right now. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level, industry focus, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
