Sales Operations Specialist Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales operations specialist in Michigan?
Most Michigan employers hire sales operations specialists with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related discipline. No state-issued license is required for this role in Michigan. Candidates who build hands-on experience with CRM systems, revenue reporting, and cross-functional project coordination tend to move fastest through the hiring process. Completing a business analytics certificate through a Michigan university program can also strengthen your application for competitive roles.
Which companies hire sales operations specialists in Michigan?
Employers hiring sales operations specialists in Michigan right now include Ryder System, NSF, and Oetiker, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Michigan's concentration of automotive, manufacturing technology, and healthcare companies means sales operations roles here frequently support B2B channel sales and national distribution networks.
Which Michigan cities have the most sales operations specialist jobs?
Marlette, Flint, and Warren have the most sales operations specialist openings in Michigan. Detroit leads due to its density of corporate headquarters in automotive, logistics, and financial services, while Grand Rapids draws significant hiring from medical device and consumer goods companies, and Ann Arbor's technology and research-driven employers consistently post analytical and operations-focused roles.
Are there remote sales operations specialist jobs in Michigan?
Yes, and more than most fields, because sales operations work is largely desk-based and data-driven. About 33% of sales operations specialist openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted toward distributed team models. The most remote-friendly tasks include CRM administration, reporting, and sales process documentation.
How can I get hired as a sales operations specialist in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a sales coordinator, inside sales, or marketing operations role, where you already work with CRM data and sales reporting. Large Michigan employers in automotive and healthcare distribution, such as those based in the Detroit and Grand Rapids metro areas, regularly hire for sales support or sales analyst associate positions that do not require prior operations titles. Building a portfolio of Salesforce or Excel dashboards and completing a business analytics certificate from a Michigan university program gives candidates a concrete edge over applicants with resume gaps in operations.
Where can I find and apply to sales operations specialist jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to sales operations specialist jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current Michigan openings across industries and experience levels. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly.
