Sales Operations Specialist Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales operations specialist in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers hire sales operations specialists with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. There is no state-issued license required for this role in Minnesota. Candidates strengthen their path by earning CRM certifications such as Salesforce Administrator and building hands-on experience in sales support, data analysis, or business operations through internships or entry-level analyst roles at Minnesota companies.
Which companies hire sales operations specialists in Minnesota?
Employers hiring sales operations specialists in Minnesota right now include DC, Slumberland, and Allied Solutions, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of large healthcare, financial services, and technology headquarters creates steady demand for sales operations talent year-round.
Which Minnesota cities have the most sales operations specialist jobs?
Anoka, St Paul, and Owatonna have the most sales operations specialist openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro drives the majority of demand, anchored by large corporate headquarters in sectors like healthcare, financial services, and enterprise software, while Rochester's concentration of major healthcare and technology employers makes it a notable secondary market.
Are there remote sales operations specialist jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 67% of sales operations specialist openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the role. Functions like CRM administration, reporting, and pipeline analysis are particularly well-suited to remote work, making this one of the more flexible roles in the sales and business operations space.
How can I get hired as a sales operations specialist in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a sales coordinator, business analyst, or customer success associate role into a junior sales operations position. Large Minnesota employers in healthcare and financial services, including those with formal rotational business programs, often post associate-level operations roles that serve as direct entry points. Building a Salesforce Administrator certification and demonstrating hands-on experience with data reporting or CRM workflows, even through academic projects, gives candidates a clear edge in competitive Minnesota applicant pools.
