Sales Support Specialist Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales support specialist in Vermont?
Most Vermont employers hire sales support specialists with an associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, though relevant experience can substitute for formal education. Vermont does not require a state-issued license for this role. Candidates strengthen their prospects by building proficiency in CRM software, completing vendor certifications through platforms like Salesforce, and gaining experience in customer-facing roles within Vermont's financial services, manufacturing, or healthcare technology sectors.
Which companies hire sales support specialists in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring sales support specialists in Vermont include Shaw's, State of Vermont, and CVS Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's financial services and specialty manufacturing industries are particularly active sources of ongoing openings for this role.
Which Vermont cities have the most sales support specialist jobs?
Montpelier, Vermont, and Burlington account for the most sales support specialist openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the largest volume as the state's commercial hub, home to financial services firms, technology companies, and healthcare organizations, while Montpelier and Rutland generate consistent demand through state government contractors, regional insurers, and manufacturing operations with dedicated sales teams.
Are there remote sales support specialist jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields, since sales support work is largely desk-based and systems-driven. About 55% of sales support specialist openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed teams. CRM administration, inside sales coordination, and quote management are the functions most consistently offered on a remote or hybrid basis.
How can I get hired as a sales support specialist in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a customer service or administrative assistant role into sales support, since Vermont employers in financial services and manufacturing routinely promote internally from those positions. National Life Group and other Burlington-area firms post entry-level sales operations coordinator roles that require no prior sales experience. Building a Salesforce Associate certification and demonstrating comfort with data entry and CRM tools gives candidates a practical edge when applying without a direct background in the function.
Where can I find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings updated in real time. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
