Sales Support Specialist Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales support specialist in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers want candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, though some hire based on demonstrated experience alone. There is no state-issued license required for the role. Gaining proficiency in CRM systems and building experience in customer service, inside sales, or administrative coordination are the most reliable steps into the position in the Minnesota market.
Which companies hire sales support specialists in Minnesota?
Employers hiring sales support specialists in Minnesota right now include Hillyard, Slumberland, and American Time, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large medical device, agricultural, and industrial companies means steady, year-round demand for sales support roles across the state.
Which Minnesota cities have the most sales support specialist jobs?
Anoka, Dassel, and Lake Elmo have the most sales support specialist openings in Minnesota. The Minneapolis-St. Paul metro drives the largest share of listings because it is home to a dense cluster of corporate headquarters and regional sales offices in healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing, while Rochester's openings reflect the strong medical device and health system presence anchored by major employers there.
Are there remote sales support specialist jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and they are fairly common, since sales support work is largely desk-based and relies on phone, email, and CRM tools that function well remotely. About 100% of sales support specialist openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the fully remote roles most often covering order management, quote generation, and CRM administration rather than hands-on account or warehouse coordination.
How can I get hired as a sales support specialist in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a customer service, administrative coordinator, or inside sales role at a Minnesota company. Large employers like Medtronic, Ecolab, and regional distributors based in the Twin Cities regularly bring in customer service representatives or sales administrators who can transition into support specialist roles after learning their product lines. Completing a CRM certification, such as a Salesforce Associate credential, and building experience with order entry or quoting tools strengthens a candidate's profile considerably for Minnesota openings.
Where can I find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, experience level, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
