Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for a summer Accounting Intern at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company. Working primarily with the corporate financial reporting team, you will assist with preparing benefit plan statements, drafting the 10-Q, and other corporate accounting tasks and projects.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures, including footnotes, for inclusion in the Company's SEC Form 10-Q filing.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple 401K and pension plans.
- Collaborate on the assessment of new GAAP and SEC guidelines.
- Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Participate in other ad hoc projects, as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have completed at least freshman year of study by the summer of 2027.
