The Manager, Strategic Initiatives supports the Strategic Initiatives Leader and Senior Manager in executing NVTI's highest-priority programs. The role provides structured analysis, coordination, and follow-through across a portfolio spanning product governance, strategic external partnerships, and firm-level cross-functional initiatives.

The role requires a working understanding of the alliances and start-up ecosystem, along with the organizational awareness to navigate Deloitte's matrixed environment across businesses, enabling functions, and Global. The Manager builds productive relationships, coordinates stakeholders, and helps advance agreed priorities without direct authority.

This role is designed for a manager who can translate strategic direction into well-organized execution: breaking complex work into clear activities, developing senior-leader materials with guidance, tracking progress across concurrent workstreams, identifying risks, and escalating issues with practical options to sustain pace and quality.

Work you'll do

Strategic Program Execution

• Portfolio Management
  • Track progress across multiple concurrent NVTI workstreams and maintain accurate visibility into priorities, dependencies, owners, and decision points.
  • Identify execution risks, analyze impacts, and escalate issues with practical mitigation options for leadership consideration.
  • Support operating discipline across workstreams through clear plans, follow-up, status reporting, and accountability routines.
• Senior Leader Support
  • Develop materials that support senior-leader decision-making, including structured briefings, options, status updates, and draft recommendations for review.
  • Synthesize complex product, partnership, and governance topics into clear, concise narratives tailored to the audience.
  • Preparing working sessions and stakeholder engagements on behalf of the Strategic Initiatives team, capture outcomes, and coordinate follow-through.

Governance & Investment Prioritization

• Start-up/Emerging Strategy
  • Support analysis and execution related to start-up / emerging player strategy, lifecycle management, and platform-to-product models where start-ups could apply.
  • Translate agreed governance concepts into documented processes, operating mechanisms, and decision forums.
  • Support prioritization discussions by gathering and organizing inputs, analyzing choices, and documenting decisions and rationale.
• Governance Discipline
  • Maintain clarity on governance cadence, required decisions, owners, and follow-through.
  • Ensure materials and discussions connect strategic objectives to execution implications.

Stakeholder Engagement & Matrixed Influence

• Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Coordinate across businesses, enabling functions, and Global to gather input and support alignment around shared priorities.
  • Build credibility with stakeholders through preparation, structured thinking, reliable follow-through, and sound judgment.
  • Translate stakeholder input into clear next steps, draft decision pathways, and coordinated communications for leadership review.
• Communication
  • Communicate with clarity, discretion, and appropriate altitude across all levels of the organization.
  • Balance strategic context with operational specificity so stakeholders understand both the "why" and the "what next."

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategic initiatives, business operations, portfolio management, program management, or a related business-focused discipline.
• 1+ years of experience leading projects or workstreams, including coordinating stakeholders, establishing priorities, managing dependencies, and driving accountability in a matrixed environment.
• Prior experience working independently to translate strategic direction into organized execution, including prioritizing competing demands, synthesizing complex business topics, preparing senior-leader materials, identifying execution risks, and driving workstreams through completion.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience supporting product strategy, product governance, product lifecycle, or platform-to-product initiatives.
• Prior experience in management consulting or a consulting-oriented environment, with a demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous business problems, develop practical recommendations, and support senior-leader decision-making.
• Prior experience working with startups, strategic alliances, emerging technologies, or cross-functional innovation initiatives, particularly within a large, complex, or matrixed organization.

Wage Disclosure

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 to $243,700.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
