There is no state-issued license required for this role in Pennsylvania. Employers such as large Philadelphia financial firms and Pittsburgh healthcare systems typically expect several years of experience in consulting, internal strategy, or business operations before considering candidates for manager-level positions.
How much do strategy operations managers make in Pennsylvania?
Strategy operations managers in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $103,130 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $49,990 for the lowest 10% to over $220,530 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategy operations managers in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring strategy operations managers in Pennsylvania right now include ADP, URBN, and Deloitte, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of large insurance, healthcare, and technology employers means demand tends to cluster around firms managing complex, multi-division operations.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most strategy operations manager jobs?
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Butler have the most strategy operations manager openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia drives the highest volume given its density of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial services firms, and health systems, while Pittsburgh's strength in healthcare, tech, and higher education anchors hiring in the western part of the state, and smaller hubs reflect regional corporate offices or growing logistics operations.
Are there remote strategy operations manager jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of strategy operations manager openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based, analytical, and meeting-heavy nature of the role. The parts of the work most likely to stay fully remote are planning cycles, reporting functions, and project coordination, while roles with heavy stakeholder management often favor at least partial on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy operations manager in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a business analyst, operations analyst, or project coordinator role at a large Pennsylvania employer and building toward the manager title from within. UPMC, Comcast, and major Philadelphia-area consulting practices regularly hire early-career candidates into rotational or associate programs that rotate through strategy and operations functions. A demonstrated ability to structure problems, manage timelines, and communicate findings to leadership matters more than years on a resume at this stage.
