Territory Business Manager Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory business manager in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field, followed by experience in outside sales or account management. There is no state-issued license specific to the territory business manager title in Minnesota, but roles in medical device or pharmaceutical sales often require product-specific training and, in some cases, credentials from industry bodies such as the National Association of Medical Sales Representatives. Building familiarity with Minnesota's dominant industries, including medical technology and agribusiness, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
How much do territory business managers make in Minnesota?
Territory business managers in Minnesota earn a median of about $151,670 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,900 for the lowest 10% to over $258,460 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory business managers in Minnesota?
Minnesota territory business manager roles are posted by Syneos Health Commercial Solutions, AT&T, and Alkermes and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large regional distributors means openings appear consistently throughout the year across multiple industries.
Which Minnesota cities have the most territory business manager jobs?
Minneapolis, Duluth, and Jordan have the most territory business manager openings in Minnesota. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro drives the majority of postings because it hosts the headquarters and regional offices of major employers in medical technology, financial services, and food and agriculture, while Rochester's concentration of health systems and medical device companies generates its own steady demand for commercially focused roles.
Are there remote territory business manager jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, but they're rare. Territory business manager work is fundamentally field-based, requiring in-person visits to clients and prospects across an assigned geography, so fully remote arrangements are uncommon. About 50% of territory business manager openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those listings typically involve inside sales support, account coordination, or roles where the territory is managed primarily by phone and video rather than in-person calls.
How can I get hired as a territory business manager in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role at a Minnesota-based company, which builds the pipeline management and product knowledge that field positions require. Large Minnesota employers such as Medtronic, Cargill, and Patterson Companies run rotational or associate sales programs that move candidates into territory roles after a defined development period. Lateral moves from customer success, clinical support, or distribution operations are also common entry points, and completing a Certified Professional Sales Person credential signals commitment to employers who might otherwise screen out candidates without direct field experience.
Where can I find and apply to territory business manager jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to territory business manager jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current Minnesota openings in one place. Search the listings to find roles that match your industry background, territory preference, and experience level, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
