ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Warehouse Manager serves as the operational backbone of the Jacksonville distribution center, partnering closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and highly accurate warehouse execution. This role provides direct leadership to warehouse associates, maintains operational discipline across all fulfillment and inventory processes, and ensures the warehouse operates with consistency, accountability, and urgency. The Assistant Warehouse Manager is a hands-on leader who spends significant time on the warehouse floor, coaching employees, resolving operational challenges in real time, and reinforcing Dynarex performance standards. This role assumes full operational responsibility in the absence of the Warehouse Operations Manager and plays a key role in developing team capability, improving processes, and maintaining a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Core Leadership Objectives
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is expected to:
- Ensure daily warehouse operations are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Serve as a visible, hands-on leader and role model on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution & Floor Leadership
- Maintain a consistent physical presence on the warehouse floor to oversee daily fulfillment, replenishment, staging, and dock activity.
- Ensure all orders are picked up, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor workflow throughout the day and proactively reassign labor to maintain productivity and meet shipping deadlines.
- Assume full operational leadership when the Warehouse Operations Manager is not on site.
- Lead shift start-ups, communicate daily priorities, and ensure operational alignment.
Shipping and Receiving Excellence
- Oversee all inbound and outbound freight activity to ensure timely, accurate processing.
- Coordinate dock scheduling, staging, and carrier loading to maximize throughput and minimize delays.
- Assist directly with loading and unloading when required to maintain operational continuity.
- Ensure all shipping documentation, labeling, and system transactions are accurate and completed on time.
- Partner with logistics personnel to ensure efficient routing and on-time delivery performance.
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Provide daily supervision, coaching, and directions to warehouse associates.
- Reinforce productivity expectations, work standards, and behavioral expectations.
- Assist in performance management, employee development, and training efforts.
- Help build a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and mutual respect.
- Support onboarding and training of new warehouse personnel.
Inventory Accuracy & Process Discipline
- Partner with Inventory Control to maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure all inventory movements are properly transacted in the ERP system.
- Maintain organized staging, slotting, and storage practices.
- Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and corrective actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular floor inspections to identify and correct safety risks.
- Ensure all employees follow safety procedures and equipment operating standards.
- Verify warehouse equipment inspections and maintenance are properly documented.
- Reinforce safety training and safe work behaviors.
Quality & Operational Standards
- Ensure outgoing shipments meet Dynarex accuracy and quality expectations.
- Monitor packaging, labeling, and order verification processes.
- Maintain clean, organized dock and warehouse conditions always.
