Which staffing companies in Kansas typically sponsor work visas?
Major national staffing firms with Kansas operations include Robert Half, Manpower, Adecco, and Kelly Services, which have sponsored H-1B visas for specialized recruiting roles. Healthcare staffing companies like AMN Healthcare and Cross Country Healthcare also sponsor visas for international recruiters. Regional firms focusing on aerospace and agriculture industries occasionally sponsor experienced international talent.
What visa types are most common for staffing jobs in Kansas?
H-1B visas are most common for specialized staffing roles requiring a bachelor's degree, such as technical recruiters, healthcare staffing specialists, and account managers. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican nationals in professional recruiting positions. Some companies sponsor O-1 visas for executives with extraordinary ability in talent acquisition or business development.
How to find staffing visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for Kansas-based staffing companies that sponsor work visas. Focus your search on Wichita and Kansas City metropolitan areas, where most large staffing firms operate. Target healthcare staffing, IT recruiting, and aerospace talent acquisition roles, as these specializations are more likely to sponsor international candidates in Kansas.
Which Kansas cities have the most staffing sponsorship opportunities?
Wichita leads with the highest concentration of staffing companies, particularly those serving the aerospace industry around Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation. Kansas City offers healthcare and IT staffing opportunities with firms serving the medical district. Topeka and Lawrence provide smaller but growing markets, especially for university-connected talent acquisition roles.
Are there specific considerations for staffing visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas prevailing wages for staffing roles tend to be lower than coastal markets, which can affect visa petition strength. However, the cost of living advantage helps compensation packages remain competitive. Many Kansas staffing firms prefer candidates with experience in agriculture, aerospace, or healthcare recruiting due to the state's industry focus and specialized talent needs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
