Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Jersey?
Several large staffing and IT consulting firms with New Jersey operations have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories, including Cognizant Technology Solutions, Infosys BPO, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, and HCL America. Mid-size IT staffing firms concentrated in Edison and Parsippany also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings. Sponsorship patterns vary by firm size, project demand, and the specific role being filled.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Edison consistently leads in New Jersey for staffing H-1B activity, driven by its dense concentration of IT staffing and consulting firms along the Route 1 corridor. Parsippany, Jersey City, and Princeton are also active markets, with Jersey City benefiting from proximity to New York financial clients and Parsippany hosting regional offices for several global staffing companies.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in the staffing industry is limited to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the role. In New Jersey staffing firms, qualifying positions commonly include IT staffing specialists, technical recruiters with computer science or IT backgrounds, software consultants placed at client sites, and business analysts with relevant degree requirements built into the job description.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters job listings by visa type, industry, and state, making it straightforward to browse staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Jersey in one place. Searching Migrate Mate for New Jersey staffing roles lets you see which employers are actively hiring and have a history of H-1B sponsorship, which saves significant time compared to manually screening general job postings.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in staffing?
New Jersey staffing firms that place H-1B workers at third-party client sites must comply with Department of Labor rules around worksite location disclosure and prevailing wage requirements for each placement location, not just the firm's registered office. This matters in New Jersey because workers are frequently placed at client sites in different counties or across the border in New York, each potentially carrying different prevailing wage obligations under the Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
