Which fashion and apparel companies sponsor H-1B visas in South Carolina?
South Carolina's fashion and apparel H-1B visa sponsors tend to be manufacturers and textile-adjacent firms rather than retail brands. Companies with production or sourcing operations in the Upstate region, including technical textile manufacturers near Spartanburg, have filed Labor Condition Applications for roles in product development, quality assurance, and supply chain management. DOL LCA disclosure data, searchable through OFLC Wage Search, shows which specific employers have active or historical filings.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most fashion and apparel H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg lead in fashion and apparel H-1B activity due to the concentration of manufacturing and technical textile operations in South Carolina's Upstate corridor. Columbia sees some activity through corporate offices and retail distribution roles. Charleston has limited fashion-sector H-1B filings but growing logistics and sourcing positions tied to its port, which supports apparel import and distribution operations.
How do I find fashion and apparel H-1B sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search H-1B roles in South Carolina's fashion and apparel industry without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces employer LCA filing history, giving you a clearer picture of which South Carolina companies have a demonstrated record of sponsoring H-1B workers in design, sourcing, technical textiles, and supply chain roles.
What types of fashion and apparel roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in South Carolina?
H-1B eligibility requires a specialty occupation, meaning the role must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In South Carolina's fashion and apparel sector, qualifying roles typically include textile engineers, product development managers, supply chain analysts, technical designers, and quality control specialists with relevant degrees. General production or warehouse roles are unlikely to qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help you assess degree requirements for specific job titles.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific factors to know about H-1B sponsorship in South Carolina's fashion sector?
South Carolina has no state-level visa sponsorship program, so H-1B rules are governed entirely by federal USCIS requirements. The state's fashion and apparel sector skews toward technical textiles and manufacturing rather than luxury or high-fashion design, which shapes the types of specialty roles available. Employers must file a certified LCA with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition, confirming the offered wage meets prevailing wage levels for the occupation and geographic area.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B fashion & apparel jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
