Which transportation companies in Utah sponsor H-1B visas?
Utah-based transportation and logistics employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity include C.R. England, one of the largest refrigerated trucking companies in the country, as well as freight and supply chain operations tied to distribution centers in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Aviation and airport operations at Salt Lake City International Airport also generate H-1B demand for engineering and systems roles.
Which cities in Utah have the most transportation H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City concentrates the majority of Utah's transportation H-1B activity, driven by its international airport, regional distribution infrastructure, and corporate logistics headquarters. Ogden and Provo also see demand, particularly around freight operations and supply chain management tied to manufacturing and retail distribution. West Valley City and Murray host several logistics and trucking company offices as well.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Utah?
H-1B sponsorship in transportation generally applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Utah, qualifying roles commonly include transportation engineers, logistics systems analysts, supply chain planners, aviation safety engineers, and operations research analysts. Roles like truck drivers or warehouse associates do not meet the specialty occupation standard and are not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find transportation H-1B sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters transportation roles in Utah by H-1B visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sorting through positions that won't lead to sponsorship. You can search by job title, location, and visa type to surface relevant openings from Utah employers with documented sponsorship histories in logistics, supply chain, and transportation engineering.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in transportation?
Utah's transportation sector is heavily tied to interstate freight corridors and a growing inland port near Salt Lake City, which has expanded demand for logistics engineers and operations analysts. The state's relatively lower cost of operations compared to coastal metros makes it attractive to employers, but H-1B sponsorship still requires full USCIS compliance including a certified Labor Condition Application and adherence to prevailing wage requirements regardless of location.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B transportation jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
