Which distribution & wholesale companies sponsor H-1B visas in Wyoming?
National wholesale distributors with Wyoming operations, including energy supply companies serving the Powder River Basin and industrial distributors supporting the state's mining and agricultural sectors, have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for specialty roles. Employers in Cheyenne and Casper with regional distribution functions are the most active filers. Checking OFLC disclosure data for Wyoming-specific LCA filings gives the most current picture of which companies have sponsored H-1B workers in this industry.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most distribution & wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Cheyenne, as Wyoming's largest city and a Union Pacific rail hub, hosts the highest concentration of distribution and wholesale employers with H-1B filing history. Casper serves as a regional center for industrial and energy supply distribution, making it the second most active area. Gillette, driven by energy sector wholesale activity, and Laramie, near the Colorado border, also see periodic H-1B sponsorship in this industry for qualified specialty occupation roles.
What types of distribution & wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that qualify must meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In distribution and wholesale, this typically covers supply chain analysts, logistics operations managers, procurement specialists, demand planning analysts, and trade compliance officers. General warehouse, driver, or sales representative positions usually do not qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a specific role meets the degree-requirement threshold USCIS applies during adjudication.
How do I find distribution & wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate filters distribution and wholesale jobs in Wyoming by verified H-1B sponsorship history, so you can see which employers have filed Labor Condition Applications for roles matching your background. This is more reliable than applying broadly and asking about sponsorship after the fact. Narrowing your search to Cheyenne and Casper, where employer LCA activity in this sector is highest, improves your chances of finding openings that are genuinely open to H-1B candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in Wyoming's distribution sector?
Wyoming's small population and tight labor market mean fewer employers overall, but those operating in energy, agriculture, and cross-regional logistics often recruit nationally and have experience sponsoring H-1B workers for specialized roles. The state has no income tax, which can factor into employer compensation planning for prevailing wage compliance. Employers must still meet all federal H-1B requirements, including DOL prevailing wage determinations using the OFLC Wage Search tool, regardless of Wyoming's state-level tax structure.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B distribution & wholesale jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
