The Vice President of Finance serves as the senior financial leader for Koroseal North America, with responsibility for the financial strategy, performance, governance, and long-term financial health of the organization across the United States and Canada.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, this role functions as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and business leaders. The Vice President of Finance will provide the financial leadership, insight, and discipline needed to support profitable growth, operational performance, investment decisions, and long-term business strategy.
This onsite position is based at our Medina Corporate Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute the financial strategy for Koroseal North America, providing financial insight and recommendations that support growth, profitability, investment decisions, and long-term business objectives.
- Financial Planning & Performance: Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis across U.S. and Canadian operations. Translating financial and operational performance into actionable insights that strengthen business performance and accountability.
- People & Organizational Leadership: Lead, develop, and mentor the North American Finance team, building strong leadership capability, clear accountability, and succession plans. Fostering a collaborative, business-focused culture that balances financial discipline with strong partnership across the organization.
- Financial Operations & Governance: Provide executive oversight of accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash flow, tax coordination, and financial controls, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and the overall integrity of the organization's financial practices.
- Business Partnership: Build strong partnerships with commercial, operational, and functional leaders to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, manage financial risk, and support effective business decisions.
- JSOX, Audit & Risk: Maintain a strong financial control environment across North American operations, including oversight of JSOX compliance, internal and external audits, financial risk, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Investment & Growth: Provide financial leadership for major capital investments, business opportunities, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, including financial modeling, due diligence, and return-on-investment analysis.
- Parent Company & Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the senior North American Finance liaison with Koroseal's parent company and communicate financial performance, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading a broad finance function with responsibility for financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and cash management.
- Experience operating as a strategic financial partner to a CEO, President, or senior executive leadership team.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, business performance drivers, working capital, cash flow, capital allocation, and financial risk.
- Experience supporting multi-entity and/or international operations, with U.S. and Canadian business experience preferred.
- Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, building products, or similarly complex operating environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with JSOX, SOX, internal controls, audit, or comparable financial governance requirements. Direct JSOX experience strongly preferred.
- Experience evaluating acquisitions, capital investments, and other strategic business opportunities.
- Strong ERP, financial reporting, business intelligence, and financial modeling experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational and process transformation within a finance function.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to financial and non-financial audiences.
- Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- Sound judgment and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership in a dynamic business environment.
