Account Manager Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Nebraska?
Most Nebraska account manager roles require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some industries accept equivalent experience. Nebraska does not issue a state license specifically for account managers, so hiring is credential-agnostic beyond education and demonstrated results. Candidates targeting insurance account management should note that Nebraska requires a Property and Casualty or Life and Health producer license through the Nebraska Department of Insurance before handling certain client accounts.
How much do account managers make in Nebraska?
Account managers in Nebraska earn a median of about $57,770 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $34,370 for the lowest 10% to over $104,100 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Nebraska?
Nebraska account manager roles are posted by Fiserv, Vestis, and Ryerson and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nebraska's concentration of insurance carriers, agricultural companies, and financial institutions means account management hiring is steady year-round across both Omaha's corporate corridor and Lincoln's growing professional services sector.
Which Nebraska cities have the most account manager jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Fremont lead Nebraska for account manager openings. Omaha dominates because it is home to major insurance, financial services, and logistics headquarters that each maintain large account management teams, while Lincoln's state government presence and growing tech sector add a consistent second market, and smaller hubs reflect regional agricultural and manufacturing clients that require dedicated account coverage.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than many client-facing roles, since account management work is heavily phone, email, and video-call driven. About 83% of account manager openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how adaptable the role is to distributed work. Roles focused on national or enterprise accounts tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while territory-based or agricultural account positions typically still require in-person client visits.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through inside sales or customer success associate roles at large Nebraska employers like Mutual of Omaha, Sandhills Global, or West Corporation, which regularly hire candidates without prior account management experience and promote from within. Moving laterally from customer service, retail banking, or insurance claims processing is also common, as those roles build the client communication skills Nebraska hiring managers look for. Earning a Nebraska insurance producer license early gives candidates a measurable edge when applying to financial services or insurance firms.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to account manager jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly without creating a profile or signing up.
