About the Position
A prominent and well-established preschool is seeking a professional, dependable, and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the school and serving as a welcoming and professional point of contact for families, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be confident, composed, and personable, with excellent judgment and the ability to communicate effectively in a busy, family-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the preschool
- Serve as a welcoming, professional point of contact for parents, families, staff, and visitors
- Answer and direct phone calls and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, records, filing, and general office organization
- Support school leadership with administrative responsibilities and special projects
- Communicate important information clearly and professionally to families and staff
- Maintain confidentiality when handling student, family, employee, and school information
- Help address parent and visitor questions or concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
- Assist in maintaining an organized, efficient, and welcoming front-office environment
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of service
- Represent the preschool in a manner consistent with its professional standards and reputation
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative or office experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong grammar, spelling, and written communication abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability and sound professional judgment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A professional, polished, and composed demeanor
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and general office technology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Experience working in a preschool, school, childcare, or family-focused environment is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
- A genuine interest in working in an educational environment and interacting positively with children and families
