We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily operations, developing the management team, and delivering a consistently strong guest experience.
This is a fast paced operation with extensive sports programming, late night business, private events, catering, and large guest volumes. The ideal candidate is a hands on restaurant leader who can confidently manage a busy floor, develop people, maintain operating standards, and step into the General Manager's role when needed.
What You Will Do
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
- Lead the team during high volume services and ensure consistent execution across the front and back of house.
- Coach, develop, and hold managers and hourly team members accountable to service and operational standards.
- Maintain a strong culture focused on hospitality, teamwork, urgency, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor labor, sales, staffing, service standards, and other key operating metrics.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, onboarding, and employee development.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly while protecting the guest experience.
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall restaurant standards are consistently maintained.
- Support private events, large parties, sporting events, and other high volume occasions.
- Work closely with culinary and service leadership to maintain smooth communication and execution.
- Assist with inventory, cost controls, cash handling, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Help identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
- Act as the senior leader on duty when the General Manager is not present.
What We Are Looking For
- 3 or more years of progressive restaurant management experience, preferably in a high volume full service, sports bar, entertainment, or upscale casual environment.
- Experience leading large teams in a fast paced restaurant operation.
- Strong understanding of restaurant labor, sales, service, and cost controls.
- Proven ability to coach managers and hourly employees while maintaining accountability.
- Strong guest recovery and problem solving skills.
- Comfortable managing high volume services, late night operations, and large events.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Hands on leadership style with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Experience with private events, catering, or large scale sports and entertainment events is a strong plus.
- Stable career history with demonstrated progression in restaurant leadership.

We are looking for an operator, not simply a shift manager.
The strongest candidate will have experience running busy restaurant services, leading large teams, developing managers, and maintaining standards when volume is high.
Experience in sports bars, high-volume casual dining, entertainment venues, hotel restaurants, or polished full service restaurants will translate particularly well.
You should be comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events when the business is at its busiest.
