We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Development Team at Victor. This role will be based in North Carolina or South Carolina. This will be a remote position.
In this role, you will be responsible for engagement for all types of Business Development Team partners: retail insurance agencies, wholesalers, MGU, MGA, and Aggregators. Additionally, you will oversee a significant portfolio of potential accounts and ensure a consistent level of agency management activity. To achieve this, you will utilize your existing network of agency partners, and insights obtained through comprehensive research to engage with accounts in a specific region or industry. Furthermore, you will aid senior colleagues who specialize in diverse markets and industries, contributing to various stages of the deal process. This will enable you to gain extensive exposure, establish new connections, and acquire valuable experience relevant to your field.
We will count on you to:
- Develop the assigned territory through all existing and prospective Business Development Team channels.
- Manage existing client base in the region to support organic growth through new business generation and renewal retention, prospecting and developing new relationships.
- Frequent travel to visit new/existing/prospective clients in the territory, working closely with underwriting and Business Development Team management to ensure a superior level of service for our clients and their insureds.
- Strategic planning for your territory’s growth and expansion, new product development and other production-oriented activities.
- Serving as a client advocate and consultative advisor on the company’s products and services as well as the marketplace at large.
- Collaborate with underwriting staff to jointly develop relationships.
- Engage with partners at industry events and become a valuable resource for the assigned territory.
What you need to have:
- Holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on professional liability insurance.
- Demonstrates a high level of energy, professional persistence, relationship building, sales aptitude, and self-motivation.
- Possesses excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills, while consistently driving for results.
- Has a proven track record of achieving desired outcomes.
- Holds appropriate licenses or has the ability to obtain them within a short time frame.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory and attend industry events.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $71,700 to $152,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
