Frame your SaaS sales experience for restaurant tech
Chowbus sells ordering and payment software to restaurants, so highlight experience closing deals in hospitality, food service, or SMB SaaS. Hiring managers at vertical-focused companies prioritize domain familiarity over generic enterprise sales backgrounds.
Verify your OPT authorization before applying
F-1 OPT has a 90-day unemployment limit. Confirm your remaining authorized days before starting interviews at Chowbus so you're not pressured into a timeline that conflicts with your status.
Search Chowbus Sales openings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Chowbus Sales roles that have active visa sponsorship. It removes the guesswork of identifying which listings are open to sponsored candidates versus those restricted to permanent residents.
Ask about LCA timing during the offer stage
Before signing an H-1B offer, ask HR whether they handle Labor Condition Applications in-house or through outside counsel. The DOL requires LCA certification before USCIS can accept a petition, and delays here directly affect your start date.
Target roles with quota-exempt H-1B pathways
If you've already been counted against the H-1B cap at a previous employer, a transfer to Chowbus does not require a new lottery selection. Confirm with HR that they'll file a cap-exempt transfer petition to avoid an unnecessary gap in status.
Position Green Card intent strategically in interviews
Chowbus sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL. Raising permanent residency interest after receiving an offer, rather than during early interviews, keeps the focus on your fit for the Sales role itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Chowbus sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Chowbus sponsors H-1B visas and has done so for Sales positions. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, Chowbus can file a transfer petition, which does not require re-entering the lottery. For new H-1B applicants, sponsorship is subject to the annual cap and lottery process administered by USCIS.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Chowbus?
You can find and apply for Chowbus Sales openings directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you're not applying blind. Chowbus typically posts a range of Sales positions across account management, business development, and field sales. Having restaurant industry or SaaS sales experience in your application materials strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which visa types does Chowbus commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
Chowbus supports several visa categories for Sales roles, including H-1B, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for students still completing degree programs. For longer-term sponsorship, Chowbus also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which go through PERM labor certification with the DOL before USCIS processing.
What qualifications does Chowbus look for in Sales candidates who need sponsorship?
Chowbus generally looks for candidates with experience in B2B or SaaS sales, particularly in markets serving small and mid-sized businesses. Familiarity with restaurant operations or food service technology is a practical differentiator. Because Sales roles at Chowbus are outward-facing and quota-driven, a demonstrated track record of hitting revenue targets carries more weight than academic credentials alone.
How do I think about timing when pursuing a sponsored Sales role at Chowbus?
Timeline depends heavily on your current visa status. F-1 OPT holders should account for the 90-day unemployment cap when timing offers and start dates. H-1B cap-subject candidates must align offers with the April filing window and an October 1 start date. H-1B transfers and TN visas have more flexible timelines. Confirm with Chowbus HR which filing path applies before committing to a start date.
