Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Manager Jobs at Hertz Jobs
Frame your operations experience for fleet environments
Hertz Business Managers are evaluated on P&L ownership, fleet turnover, and customer throughput metrics. Tailor your resume to surface experience with high-volume operations, shift-based staffing, or asset utilization rather than generic management language.
Target locations with consistent management hiring
Hertz posts Business Manager roles across airport, off-airport, and corporate account locations. Airport-based positions often carry higher volume and complexity, which can make the specialty occupation case stronger when your employer files your H-1B petition with USCIS.
Clarify sponsorship readiness before the offer stage
Hertz operates through a centralized HR and legal function, so sponsorship decisions aren't made by individual hiring managers. Ask directly during final-round conversations whether the role has been approved for visa sponsorship through their immigration program.
Understand how TN status fits rental industry roles
If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen, TN classification under the USMCA may apply to a Business Manager role if you can document that your position requires a qualifying professional degree. Confirm this with your employer before the offer is finalized, since TN doesn't go through USCIS lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Hertz Business Manager openings
Hertz's open Business Manager positions are spread across dozens of markets. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Hertz roles that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than assumed.
Prepare your PERM documentation early if pursuing a Green Card
If Hertz extends a permanent role offer and initiates PERM labor certification through DOL, the process requires documenting that no qualified U.S. worker was available. Gather performance reviews, degree credentials, and employment history now so you're not scrambling when the employer's attorneys request them.

Find Business Manager at Hertz JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hertz sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Hertz has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. Because these positions involve overseeing financial performance, workforce planning, and operational strategy, they can meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. Your degree field and the specific responsibilities of the role both factor into whether USCIS approves the petition, so the job description matters.
Which visa types does Hertz commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Hertz has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Managers and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT is an option if you're a recent graduate and your degree aligns with the role. Canadian and Mexican citizens may also be eligible for TN status if the position meets the professional category requirements under the USMCA.
What qualifications does Hertz expect for Business Manager positions?
Hertz typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, operations, finance, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing a team or a revenue-generating location. Familiarity with fleet operations, customer service metrics, or rental industry workflows is an advantage. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align with the specialty occupation classification USCIS applies to the role.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Hertz?
You can browse and apply for Business Manager openings at Hertz directly through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters Hertz listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're only seeing roles where sponsorship is a confirmed option. When applying, highlight operations management experience and any metrics around team performance, cost control, or customer satisfaction that are specific to fleet or service environments.
How do I plan my timeline if Hertz is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with a cap of 65,000 regular slots and an additional 20,000 for U.S. master's degree holders. Registration opens each March, and employment can begin no earlier than October 1 if selected. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether a timely H-1B filing qualifies you for a cap-gap extension to bridge the gap.
