Align Your Portfolio to Health Tech
Humana's Product Engineers work on member-facing digital products and internal health data platforms. Frame your portfolio around healthcare, insurance, or regulated data environments before you apply. Hiring managers recognize domain relevance quickly.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness Before Interviews
Humana operates across multiple business units with separate hiring teams. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific team filling the role has active sponsorship approval, not just whether Humana sponsors visas company-wide.
Target Roles Tied to Core Digital Products
Sponsorship approvals at large health conglomerates like Humana concentrate in product teams with long roadmaps and retention incentives. Roles on flagship consumer or provider-facing platforms carry stronger business justification for filing an H-1B petition than short-cycle project teams.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Active Sponsorship Openings
Filter specifically for Product Engineer roles at Humana that have current visa sponsorship activity. Migrate Mate surfaces these positions so you spend time on openings where sponsorship is confirmed, not inferred from job description boilerplate.
Prepare for DOL Prevailing Wage Documentation
For H-1B and PERM filings, Humana's HR team submits a Labor Condition Application certifying your offered wage meets DOL prevailing wage levels. Request your job offer letter in writing before your start date so you can verify the wage level matches the LCA on file.

Find Product Engineer at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineers. The company has an active sponsorship track record for this function across its health technology and digital product teams. Sponsorship decisions are made at the business unit level, so confirm with your specific recruiter that the team you're interviewing with has current authorization to file.
Which visa types does Humana support for Product Engineer roles?
Humana supports several visa pathways for Product Engineers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1, and immigrant visa categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship. The right pathway depends on your current status, degree field, and where you are in the application process.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Humana?
Applications go through Humana's careers portal. To find roles with confirmed visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to filter Product Engineer openings at Humana that are actively sponsoring. When you apply, tailor your resume to health technology environments and flag your visa status clearly in the recruiter screening call to avoid mismatches late in the process.
What qualifications does Humana expect for Product Engineer roles?
Humana typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, which also supports the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B sponsorship. Experience with agile product development, API-driven systems, or health data platforms strengthens your application. Roles on regulated products may require familiarity with HIPAA-compliant system design.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap cycle?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, your employer needs to file a cap-gap extension request if your OPT expires between April and September. Starting your Humana interview process by December or January gives you enough lead time to secure an offer before the registration window opens.
