Align your credentials to NPI program experience
Jabil's Project Program Manager roles consistently involve new product introduction cycles in electronics manufacturing. Reframe your resume around NPI milestones, manufacturing readiness reviews, and cross-functional team coordination to match what their hiring managers are screening for.
Target sites with active hardware programs
Jabil operates dozens of manufacturing sites globally, but not all carry the same program complexity. Focus applications on sites in electronics-heavy hubs like San Jose, Tempe, or Guadalajara, where hardware program management roles open more frequently and sponsorship tends to follow.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting any offer
Before signing an offer, ask HR whether the Labor Condition Application has been filed with DOL for your specific work location. Some Jabil sites process LCAs regionally, and delays here can push your H-1B petition start date back by weeks.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Not every Project Program Manager listing at Jabil will explicitly mention visa sponsorship. Search Migrate Mate to surface roles where Jabil has an active sponsorship track record, so you're applying to positions where the process is already familiar to the hiring team.
Prepare for TN status if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Project Program Manager roles can qualify under the TN Engineer or Management Consultant category depending on how the position is scoped. Have your employer define your duties in writing before the border crossing, as TN admissibility is determined by the officer on the day.
Bridge OPT timing with STEM extension eligibility
If you're on F-1 OPT and Jabil is your sponsoring employer, confirm your degree qualifies for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. Electronics and hardware program management roles often satisfy STEM criteria, giving you a longer runway before your H-1B must be approved.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company has filed H-1B petitions for this function across multiple sites, particularly where hardware manufacturing programs require specialized program management expertise. Your offer letter and the associated Labor Condition Application filed with DOL will define the specific role and wage level tied to the petition.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Jabil?
Apply directly through Jabil's careers portal, where roles are posted by site and business unit. To find positions where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring process, browse Migrate Mate's curated listings for Jabil Project Program Manager roles. Tailor your application to highlight electronics manufacturing experience, cross-functional program ownership, and any NPI or production ramp involvement.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for most international Project Program Manager hires and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 labor certification (PERM) for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT and CPT are also used for early-career candidates transitioning from academic programs. Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible for TN visa status depending on how the role is categorized.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for Project Program Manager positions?
Most Project Program Manager roles at Jabil require a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field, along with hands-on experience managing hardware programs through the full product lifecycle. Familiarity with electronics contract manufacturing environments, Jabil's industry, is a strong differentiator. PMP certification and experience with structured program methodologies like Stage-Gate are frequently referenced in job descriptions.
How do I plan my timeline if Jabil is sponsoring my H-1B?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. If you're already on F-1 OPT when Jabil extends an offer, your OPT must remain valid through the lottery and USCIS processing period. Premium processing, which guarantees a USCIS decision within 15 business days, is an option Jabil can elect to accelerate petition review during this window.
