Frame your credentials around revenue outcomes
Jobot evaluates business development candidates on pipeline impact, not just titles. Quantify deal cycles, client acquisition results, and revenue contributions in your resume before you apply. Staffing firms want to see commercial proof, not role descriptions.
Time your F-1 OPT application before your program ends
If you're on F-1 status, USCIS recommends filing your OPT application up to 90 days before your program end date. A gap in work authorization during a business development hiring process can stall or kill your offer.
Understand how staffing firms structure sponsorship internally
In staffing and recruiting companies like Jobot, visa sponsorship decisions often sit with HR or legal, not the hiring manager. Ask your recruiter early which team owns the sponsorship approval process so you're not surprised after an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to target open roles by sponsorship type
Filtering by visa category saves time when you're targeting business development roles that match your status. Migrate Mate surfaces Jobot's open Strategic Business Development positions alongside their sponsorship history, so you apply with full context.
Confirm LCA filing timing before accepting an offer
For H-1B transfers or new petitions, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS receives the I-129. Ask your Jobot recruiter for an estimated filing timeline so you can plan your start date without assuming immediate authorization.

Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Strategic Business Developments?
Yes, Jobot sponsors H-1B visas for Strategic Business Development roles. Sponsorship availability can vary by position and timing, so confirm the specific role's eligibility with your recruiter early in the process. If you're transferring an existing H-1B from another employer, Jobot can typically file a cap-exempt petition, and you may be able to start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition under portability rules.
How do I apply for Strategic Business Development jobs at Jobot?
You can browse and apply for Strategic Business Development positions at Jobot directly through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, be prepared to discuss your visa status upfront. Jobot's recruiters move quickly, and having your work authorization details ready avoids delays in the screening process.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Strategic Business Development roles?
Jobot sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Strategic Business Development positions. H-1B is the most common path for long-term sponsorship. F-1 OPT is an option if you're a recent graduate with valid OPT work authorization. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying professional categories under the USMCA agreement.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Strategic Business Development roles?
Jobot focuses heavily on commercial performance in the staffing and recruiting industry, so expect to demonstrate experience managing client relationships, developing new accounts, or closing enterprise deals. A relevant bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case. Candidates who can articulate measurable revenue contributions stand out in Jobot's recruiting process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after receiving an offer from Jobot?
Timeline depends on your visa type. For F-1 OPT, work authorization is already in place so you can start immediately if your EAD is valid. For H-1B transfers, USCIS portability allows you to begin work once the petition is received, which takes days to weeks. New H-1B petitions tied to the annual cap follow USCIS's lottery cycle, with a typical October 1 start date. Confirm the specific path with Jobot's HR team.
