Align your credentials to U.S. standards
If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Operations roles at Mohawk often require a verifiable bachelor's in supply chain, engineering, or industrial management, and ambiguous credentials slow sponsorship decisions.
Target Mohawk's manufacturing and distribution hubs
Mohawk operates large facilities in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. Roles tied to specific plant or distribution center operations are more likely to result in direct sponsorship conversations than corporate generalist postings, so filter your search by facility type.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsorship-friendly openings
Not every Operations posting at Mohawk explicitly mentions visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles where Mohawk has an active sponsorship history, so you're applying where your visa situation won't be a barrier.
Understand OPT timing before your first interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM OPT extension eligibility early. Operations roles in manufacturing environments often qualify under qualifying STEM CIP codes, giving you up to 36 months of work authorization and more runway before an H-1B cap season.
Ask about LCA filing timing during the offer stage
The DOL must certify a Labor Condition Application before USCIS can receive your H-1B petition. When an offer is extended, ask HR directly whether legal counsel is already engaged, since LCA prep in large manufacturing companies can run on structured annual timelines.
Frame operations experience in measurable supply chain outcomes
Mohawk's Operations hiring focuses heavily on process improvement and production efficiency in flooring and textile manufacturing. Quantify your experience in lean manufacturing, inventory control, or logistics in your resume to match the specialty occupation framing needed for H-1B petitions.

Find Operations at Mohawk Industries JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Mohawk Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Mohawk Industries sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions, particularly roles requiring specialized knowledge in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, or production operations. Sponsorship is most common for roles tied to Mohawk's large-scale flooring and textile manufacturing facilities. You'll want to confirm sponsorship availability directly during the offer stage, as not every posting will advertise it upfront.
Which visa types does Mohawk Industries commonly use for Operations positions?
Mohawk sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation Operations roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it accessible to recent graduates. For candidates seeking longer-term pathways, Mohawk has also filed employment-based Green Card petitions under EB-2 and EB-3 categories. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Operations roles under USMCA.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Mohawk Industries?
You can browse current Operations openings through Mohawk's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where Mohawk has sponsored international candidates in this function. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight quantifiable operations experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments, which aligns with the specialty occupation requirements Mohawk's legal team will use when building your H-1B petition.
What qualifications does Mohawk Industries expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Most sponsored Operations roles at Mohawk require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management, or a closely related field. Practical experience in lean manufacturing, inventory systems, or production scheduling in a large-scale manufacturing environment strengthens your application significantly. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must directly correspond to the specific role, so a general business degree alone is unlikely to qualify.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and Mohawk's hiring cycle?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March for a cap season starting October 1. If you're targeting a cap-subject H-1B, you'll need an offer and a filed petition before April. Mohawk's manufacturing and operations hiring often ramps up in Q1, which aligns reasonably well with cap season, but confirm your start date and whether Mohawk will use premium processing to accelerate USCIS adjudication.
