Align your credentials to Molex's technical requirements
Molex evaluates Program Development Managers on hands-on experience with supply chain systems, product lifecycle management, or manufacturing processes. Frame your resume around measurable outcomes in these areas before your first application touchpoint.
Target open roles across Molex's global sites
Molex posts Program Development Manager openings across multiple U.S. locations tied to different business units. Applying to site-specific roles rather than a general function increases your chances of reaching a hiring team actively seeking sponsorship-eligible candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Molex's sponsorship-eligible openings
Sorting through which Molex Program Development Manager roles are currently open and sponsorship-friendly takes time without the right tool. Migrate Mate lets you filter directly by company and visa type so you're only reviewing roles worth pursuing.
Clarify your OPT or TN status early in conversations
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period is not work-authorized. Raise your timeline with Molex's recruiter before an offer is extended so the team can coordinate H-1B or TN filing without compressing the process.
Understand Molex's PERM timeline for permanent residency
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Molex must complete DOL's PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. This process typically runs six months to over a year, so confirming the company's willingness to sponsor green cards early avoids surprises after you've accepted an offer.
Prepare documentation that supports a specialty occupation determination
USCIS requires your Program Development Manager role to qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B approval. Gather academic transcripts, role-specific certifications, and any evidence tying your degree directly to the job duties Molex has defined in the position description.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Program Development Managers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Program Development Manager roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS H-1B process, which includes an annual lottery for cap-subject cases each April. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a cap-exempt transfer to Molex is possible once you have a qualifying offer.
How do I apply for Program Development Manager jobs at Molex?
Applications go through Molex's careers portal, where roles are posted by location and business unit. Before applying, confirm the specific posting references program development responsibilities rather than adjacent project or product management functions. Migrate Mate also aggregates Molex's open Program Development Manager positions and filters by visa sponsorship eligibility, which can help you identify the right role faster.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Program Development Manager hires?
Molex supports a range of visa categories for this role, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals under the USMCA agreement, F-1 OPT and CPT for students transitioning from U.S. universities, J-1 visa for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant pathways for candidates pursuing permanent residency. The appropriate category depends on your nationality, current status, and career stage.
What qualifications does Molex expect for a Program Development Manager role?
Molex typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a closely related technical discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools, supplier coordination, and structured program execution methodologies strengthens your application significantly for USCIS specialty occupation purposes as well.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship through Molex?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with selections announced before April 1. If selected, USCIS begins accepting full petitions on April 1 for an October 1 start date. That six-month gap between selection and start date means you should be in active conversations with Molex's recruiting team no later than January or February if you need cap-subject sponsorship for that cycle.
