Frame Your Credentials Around Healthcare Operations
Quest Diagnostics expects Business Operations candidates to understand regulated healthcare environments. Highlight experience with compliance-driven workflows, lab service contracts, or healthcare supply chain processes on your resume before you apply.
Target Roles That Align With Your Degree Field
H-1B sponsorship requires your job to qualify as a specialty occupation. Business Operations roles at Quest often sit under finance, supply chain, or healthcare administration, so confirm your degree field maps directly to the position before pursuing an offer.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Operations openings at Quest Diagnostics by visa type. This lets you identify which specific roles have active sponsorship history before investing time in applications or outreach.
Clarify Sponsorship Timing During Initial Interviews
Quest's talent acquisition team handles sponsorship decisions internally. Ask directly in the first recruiter call whether the specific Business Operations role supports sponsorship, since not all postings within the same function carry the same approval from the business unit.
Account for PERM Labor Certification if Targeting Green Card
Quest sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for Business Operations staff, which requires PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition. That process adds significant lead time, so start the conversation with HR early in your tenure.
Use Your OPT Period to Build Internal Sponsorship Support
If you join Quest on F-1 OPT, use that window to document measurable operational impact. Managers who see direct value in retaining you are far more likely to champion an H-1B petition through Quest's internal approval process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Quest Diagnostics sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Quest Diagnostics sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles tied to healthcare administration, finance operations, or supply chain management at Quest typically meet that threshold, though sponsorship approval is made on a per-role basis by the hiring team. Confirming eligibility with your recruiter early in the process is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Quest Diagnostics?
Apply directly through Quest Diagnostics' careers portal or browse their open Business Operations listings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type. Tailor your application to highlight operational experience in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or diagnostics. Once you submit, a recruiter from Quest's talent acquisition team typically conducts an initial screening call before moving candidates to hiring manager interviews.
Which visa types does Quest Diagnostics commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Quest Diagnostics sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and permanent residence pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Business Operations positions. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship through the annual USCIS cap lottery.
What qualifications does Quest Diagnostics expect for Business Operations roles?
Quest typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, healthcare management, finance, or a related field. Practical experience with process improvement frameworks, data analysis tools, or compliance operations in a healthcare setting strengthens your candidacy. For H-1B eligibility, your degree must correspond directly to the duties of the specific role you're applying for.
How do I time my application around H-1B cap deadlines if I'm on OPT?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT and your authorization expires before October 1, confirm with Quest's HR team whether a cap-gap extension applies to your situation. F-1 students who filed an H-1B petition before OPT expiration are generally covered under cap-gap provisions, allowing continued employment while USCIS adjudicates the petition.
