Job Summary:
The Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead for the Department of Medicine (DOM) serves as the primary administrative and support partner of all DOM fellowship program coordinators and fellowship-related educational operations. The DOM Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead ensures high-quality administrative support across all ACGME- and non-ACGME–accredited fellowship programs in the DOM, promotes consistency and compliance, and partners closely with program directors, departmental leadership, and GME offices to optimize the educational experience for trainees.
Under the guidance of and in collaboration with the Department’s Vice Chair of Education, the Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead will analyze current systems, processes, and procedures across all ACGME- and non-ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in the DOM to identify best practices and areas for improvement in the DOM fellowship programs. They will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and professional development of all fellowship program coordinators within the DOM, and they will assume essential program coordinator duties for programs that are temporarily without a coordinator (e.g., illness, leave, job changes, etc.). They will also be responsible for the development and operation of new shared curricula, programming, or events for the fellowship programs (e.g., DOM-wide fellowship orientation, fellows’ career retreat, supplementary training tracks, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a collaborative and supportive fellowship program coordinator community with regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and communication channels.
- Standardize processes, policies, and documentation for recruitment, onboarding, program evaluation, Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee activities, block schedules, rotation agreements, and accreditation documentation for DOM fellowship programs.
- Assist in maintaining the budget for centralized fellowship initiatives and support financial coordination related to fellowship programming and events.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training for new coordinators in the DOM.
- Partner with the Vice Chair for Education, Fellowship Program Directors, and GME leadership to create and operationalize strategic initiatives for fellowship education.
- Provide project management support and coordination for department-level fellowship initiatives (e.g., DOM-wide fellowship orientation, supplementary training tracks, etc.).
- Serve as the primary liaison between DOM fellowship programs and the institutional GME office, including attending and participating in relevant institution-level meetings.
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Principal Level Professional:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in residency or fellowship education.
Program Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Four (4) years of professional experience in residency or fellowship education.
- An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience as a program coordinator in a multi-year ACGME-accredited medicine fellowship program with multiple learners per program year.
- Experience developing and delivering training, education, and/or professional development.
- Current or past TAGME certification.
- Experience using MedHub.
- Experience with Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, policies, and processes.

ANTICIPATED PAY RANGE
The starting salary range for this position has been established as:
Principal Level Professional: $60,905 – $81,613
Program Manager: $63,554 – $85,162
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
