Frame your resume around quota-carrying experience
Veeva Sales roles are territory and revenue-driven. Hiring managers want to see specific deal cycles, named account experience, or SaaS renewal ownership. Vague 'relationship management' language won't get you past the first screen.
Target roles aligned with your visa category
Veeva sponsors both H-1B and TN visas, but TN eligibility requires a qualifying occupation list match. If you're Canadian or Mexican, confirm your role title falls under USMCA-defined categories before applying to avoid offer-stage complications.
Search Veeva's open Sales roles on Migrate Mate
Veeva posts Sales positions across commercial, medical, and regulatory segments. Use Migrate Mate to filter for sponsorship-confirmed openings so you're only spending time on roles where your visa situation won't disqualify you at the offer stage.
Start your OPT job search at least four months early
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS recommends applying for your EAD at least 90 days before your program end date. Factor in recruiter cycles at larger software companies like Veeva, which can run six to ten weeks from first screen to offer.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term timeline
Veeva sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for Sales employees, but PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can even be filed. Build this into your longer-term career planning, not a year-two assumption.
Prepare a clear nonimmigrant intent position before interviews
Sales interviewers at tech companies often ask directly about work authorization. Have a concise, confident answer ready. Know your current status, your authorized work period, and whether your employer would need to file before your start date or after.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Veeva Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Veeva Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions. The company has an active sponsorship history across its commercial and life sciences cloud sales teams. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing matters: your employer must file during the annual April lottery window, so coordinate your offer and start date accordingly with your hiring manager.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Veeva Systems?
Sales roles at Veeva are posted on their careers site, typically organized by product line such as Veeva CRM, Vault, or Compass. You can also find sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is available. Tailor your application to the specific segment, since Veeva hires separately for commercial, medical affairs, and regulatory sales functions.
Which visa types does Veeva Systems commonly use for Sales hires?
Veeva sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Sales roles, and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common route for international Sales professionals. TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose job titles align with USMCA-defined qualifying occupations, which is worth verifying before accepting an offer.
What qualifications does Veeva Systems expect for Sales roles?
Veeva Sales positions typically require a bachelor's degree and prior B2B or SaaS sales experience, with life sciences industry knowledge valued highly for most segments. Enterprise account management, quota attainment history, and familiarity with clinical or commercial software workflows strengthen your profile. Roles selling Vault or Compass products often require direct experience with pharma, biotech, or CRO clients.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Veeva to sponsor my H-1B?
If you need an initial H-1B sponsorship, the cap lottery runs once per year with registrations typically in March and a October 1 start date. You'll need an offer before registration opens. If you're transferring an existing H-1B to Veeva, USCIS portability rules allow you to start work once the transfer petition is filed, without waiting for approval, provided you've held H-1B status for at least a year.
