Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Tips for Your Enterprise Account Director Job Search
Quantify your book of business clearly
Enterprise account director resumes live or die on revenue numbers. Highlight the total ARR you managed, your net revenue retention rate, and the average contract value of your largest deals so hiring managers can immediately gauge whether your scale matches theirs.
Tailor your resume to the sales motion
Distinguish whether you're a hunter, farmer, or both. A company hiring for new logo acquisition wants evidence of greenfield pipeline creation, not just renewal expansion. Match the language in each job posting to the type of enterprise motion they're describing.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists enterprise account director openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Target companies in your existing vertical
Enterprise sales cycles rely heavily on domain credibility. If your background is in financial services software, prioritize openings where the prospect base overlaps. Interviewers will ask about specific customer pain points, and vertical fluency shortens your ramp time noticeably.
Prepare a detailed territory plan for interviews
Many enterprise account director final rounds include a territory or account plan presentation. Come with a 30-60-90 day framework that names target account profiles, identifies your prospecting approach, and explains how you'd build internal stakeholder relationships in the first quarter.
Negotiate total comp beyond base salary
Enterprise account director offers vary widely in accelerator structures, SPIFs, and equity. Before you accept, ask for the quota attainment distribution across the team for the past two years so you can evaluate whether OTE is realistically achievable in that particular territory.
Enterprise Account Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most enterprise account directors?
The companies hiring the most enterprise account directors right now include Amazon Web Services, Comcast, and Salesforce, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Texas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Demand tends to be strongest at cloud software companies, cybersecurity vendors, and enterprise data platforms expanding their go-to-market teams.
How many enterprise account director jobs are remote?
About 73% of enterprise account director openings are fully remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much enterprise sales has shifted toward distributed teams. Roles focused on renewal, expansion, and digital-first accounts tend to be the most remote-friendly, while new logo hunting roles often still require travel to key accounts or a presence near a major customer base.
How do you become an enterprise account director?
Most enterprise account directors progress from account executive or senior account executive roles after consistently exceeding quota on large, complex deals. You build toward the role by owning full sales cycles with enterprise accounts, developing executive relationships, and taking on informal leadership like mentoring junior reps. Moving into a named or strategic accounts role before stepping into the director title is the most common path.
Can you get hired as an enterprise account director without direct enterprise experience?
It's possible, but you'll need to demonstrate readiness through adjacent evidence. If your background is in mid-market sales, highlight deals that approached enterprise contract size and complexity, executive stakeholders you engaged, and any involvement in cross-functional deal teams. Some companies hire from commercial sales into enterprise roles specifically to bring fresh prospecting energy, especially in high-growth verticals.
What does the enterprise account director interview process look like?
The process typically runs four to five rounds. It usually starts with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on your sales methodology and past deal examples. Later rounds involve a panel with sales leadership or cross-functional partners and often a formal presentation, such as a territory plan or mock executive business review. Reference checks with former managers and customers are common at the final stage.
Where can I find and apply to enterprise account director jobs?
