Enterprise Sales Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an enterprise sales manager in Tennessee?
Tennessee does not require a state-issued license specifically for enterprise sales managers, so the path into the role runs through experience and demonstrated results. Most hiring managers in Tennessee expect a bachelor's degree and several years of quota-carrying sales experience, often in a vertical like healthcare IT, logistics, or SaaS that dominates the local market. Moving up from an individual contributor or account executive role at a Nashville or Memphis-area employer is the most common route.
How much do enterprise sales managers make in Tennessee?
Enterprise sales managers in Tennessee earn a median of about $128,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,220 for the lowest 10% to over $231,830 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise sales managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring enterprise sales managers in Tennessee right now include Comcast, FedEx, and Fortinet, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare, logistics, and financial services companies means enterprise sales roles here often focus on long-cycle, high-value contracts with large institutional buyers.
Which Tennessee cities have the most enterprise sales manager jobs?
Nashville, Antioch, and Memphis have the most enterprise sales manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its dense cluster of healthcare technology, insurance, and SaaS companies, while Memphis draws demand from logistics, supply chain, and distribution firms anchored by FedEx's global headquarters, and Knoxville reflects manufacturing and energy sector growth in East Tennessee.
Are there remote enterprise sales manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of enterprise sales manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves virtual discovery calls, demos, and executive presentations. The portions most likely to remain in-person are final contract negotiations and key account relationship management with large Tennessee-based clients.
How can I get hired as an enterprise sales manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales role at a mid-size Nashville or Memphis technology or healthcare IT company, where you build pipeline skills before moving into an enterprise quota-carrying position. Large Tennessee employers like HCA Healthcare and regional SaaS firms often run structured sales development programs that feed into enterprise roles. A Salesforce certification and documented experience closing even small complex deals can differentiate a candidate with limited tenure.
