The Role
As a Commercial Superintendent, you'll own and direct all on-site activity — subcontractors, crews, schedule, safety, and quality — for vertical and tenant improvement (TI) projects in the $800K–$5M range across the Phoenix metro. You'll partner closely with our Project Managers and Leadership Team to deliver every project on schedule, on budget, and to the standard our clients expect. You'll be the primary link between the field, the office, and ownership — boots on the ground from the first day of each project through closeout.

What You'll Do
· Run the day-to-day on your jobsite — direct subcontractors and crews from preconstruction through closeout.
· Own the project schedule: build, update, and communicate it to maintain Critical Path Method (CPM) execution and a current look-ahead.
· Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) to keep work on track.
· Know the plans and specifications inside-out for every project you oversee.
· Lead preconstruction meetings with each subcontractor to review approved submittals and installation methods.
· Perform quality control inspections so all work conforms to contract documents and Brien Contracting standards.
· Inspect each subcontractor's work before the next trade begins — catch, correct and document deficient work early in Procore.
· Lead weekly schedule and safety meetings; manage meeting minutes, maintain the look-ahead, and complete weekly safety audits per SOP.
· Champion jobsite safety and enforce all Brien Contracting policies and field procedures (precon meetings, JHAs, safety forms, Blue Stake, etc.).
· Report promptly to the General Superintendent and Project Manager on any issue that may affect the project.
What You Bring
· 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong command of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint/plan reading.
· Proven leadership, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
· A relentless drive for continuous learning and a calm, professional presence under pressure.
· Experience on Class A office, medical/wellness, or hospitality (restaurant/hotel) projects is a strong plus.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
· Procore and Bluebeam experience is a plus (not required).
· OSHA 30 or 10 certification is a plus.
· Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required).

· Pay: $95,000–$120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
