Experienced Hotel Housekeepers Wanted
TrueGigs is hiring experienced Hotel Housekeepers for a busy hotel property in Elizabeth, NJ.
We are specifically looking for candidates with previous hotel or hospital housekeeping experience and strong bed-making skills.
Bed-Making Experience Required
Candidates must have hands-on experience making and preparing beds in a hotel, hospital, or similar professional environment. Bed-making experience is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Make and properly prepare guest beds
- Change sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other bedding
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, and floors
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop assigned areas
- Replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest-room supplies
- Remove trash and replace liners
- Ensure rooms are clean, organized, and ready for guests
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or missing supplies to a supervisor
- Follow hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
- Complete assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- Previous hotel or hospital housekeeping experience required
- Professional bed-making experience is mandatory
- Experience cleaning and preparing hotel guest rooms or hospital/patient rooms preferred
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain housekeeping standards
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
- Must be available for the 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule
- Must be available Monday–Sunday, based on scheduling needs
- Immediate availability preferred
