The Linear Motion Division is a major contributor to the Automation & Controls Segment, with approximately 1,500 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 9 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, & Europe.
The Inside Sales Representative will perform a variety of duties that support the sales and marketing processes. This position focuses on the qualifications of leads from multiple sources as well as securing new business orders from a portion of these leads. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and to follow company policies and procedures. Position could provide career path to other sales or customer service functions.
Major Responsibilities:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Qualification of Thomson sales leads from multiple sales leads with documentation in CRM (Customer Relations Management System). ISS will call lead sources to qualify lead data and address immediate needs.
- Management of Marketing Qualified Leads that meet specific criteria with the objective of securing customer order.
- Selection of proper sales channel for winning new orders (direct or specific distributor partner) through close cooperation with outside sales team.
- Quote follow-up based on identified criteria within 24 hours of customer receipt. Generate new and repeat sales by supporting supplemental quote requirements and removing barriers to win new orders.
- Work in conjunction with operations teams to ensure that commitments made to gain new orders are met.
- Act in a leadership role while training and coaching Sales Administration associates in sales support processes.
- Promptly address customer issues or complaints with the assistance and input of other internal associates.
- Support vertical market and business unit growth initiatives as identified.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

- 5 years Inside Sales and/or Customer Service-related experience.
- Ability to lead by example, setting high standards for effective communications both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with a willingness to obtain functional knowledge and understanding of company products, policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Superior telephone etiquette.
- Ability to understand and respond to customers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment to improve the service levels to customers.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to compile and present data.
- Ability to work well in stressful environments and to remain calm and positive in adverse situations.
- Ability to sequence tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines for completion through effective time management.
- Ability to promote positive customer relations and quickly build rapport with customer contact via phone.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year degree in related field.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook). Previous experience with an ERP and CRM system preferred.

Expected Base Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000. The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
