MAIN TASKS
- Rotates inbound and outbound shipments to maintain a steady supply of goods
- Monitors and reads incoming and outgoing shipments, noting missing or damaged items
- Coordinates the delivery of materials and products
- Communicates with suppliers and customers
- Plans out schedules to maximize efficiency
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Reports damages, inventory discrepancies, and unsafe situations to Lead or Supervisor
- Handles with on-time shipments and receipts
- Ensures work is done based on Customer requirements
- Partners with team to meet logistic goals
- Looks for and reports to Lead or Supervisor any opportunities to improve safety or processes
- Provides excellent service levels by focusing on quality and customer service standards
- Participates in Kaizen/Lean training and events
- Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/ GED required
- One (1) year of manufacturing related experience in shipping and receiving
- Licensed forklift truck operator a plus
- Must have 5 S skills (keep work area safe and clean)
- Must work safely and identify all safety issues using the STOP, CALL, WAIT system until repairs are made
- Customer and supplier orientation
- Strong organization and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approach
- Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal & professional level
- Experience or knowledge of raw materials planning/production scheduling process
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), prior Sage experience a plus
- Self-driven, attention to detail, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on deliverables
- Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of employees
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
