Marketing Specialist Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing specialist in Colorado?
Marketing specialist roles in Colorado do not require a state-issued license or registration. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Colorado's large technology, healthcare, and outdoor industry employers often prefer candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience through internships, portfolio work, or certifications in platforms like Google Analytics or HubSpot. Building familiarity with Colorado's dominant industries strengthens a candidacy considerably.
How much do marketing specialists make in Colorado?
Marketing specialists in Colorado earn a median of about $93,050 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,900 for the lowest 10% to over $165,190 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing specialists in Colorado?
Employers hiring marketing specialists in Colorado right now include Passanante's Home Food Service, Inspire Communities, and USI Insurance Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of technology firms, large healthcare networks, and established consumer brands creates steady demand for marketing specialists at both the corporate and regional level.
Which Colorado cities have the most marketing specialist jobs?
Denver, Greenwood Village, and Aurora account for the largest share of marketing specialist openings in Colorado. Denver dominates due to its concentration of corporate headquarters, technology firms, and healthcare systems, while Boulder's startup and outdoor industry ecosystems drive demand there, and Colorado Springs draws on its defense, healthcare, and regional retail sectors to support a steady stream of openings.
Are there remote marketing specialist jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of marketing specialist openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, digital nature of the work. Content creation, SEO, social media management, and digital campaign roles are the most consistently remote, while brand events, field marketing, and agency account roles more often require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a marketing specialist in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator role at one of Colorado's large employer groups. UCHealth, Dish Network, and Colorado's many Denver-area technology firms regularly bring on marketing coordinators and communications assistants who move into specialist roles within a year or two. A portfolio of real project work, a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification, and familiarity with content management or email platforms will set a candidate apart from others without formal experience.
Where can I find and apply to marketing specialist jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to marketing specialist jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Search the listings, identify the roles that fit your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
