Building a portfolio of campaign work, earning platform certifications such as Google Analytics or HubSpot, and gaining experience through internships with South Carolina employers in healthcare, manufacturing, or hospitality strengthens your candidacy considerably.
How much do marketing specialists make in South Carolina?
Marketing specialists in South Carolina earn a median of about $69,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,950 for the lowest 10% to over $153,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Which South Carolina cities have the most marketing specialist jobs?
Clemson, Columbia, and Fort Mill have the most marketing specialist openings in South Carolina. Columbia leads because state government agencies, Prisma Health, and the University of South Carolina all maintain active marketing functions, while Charleston's tourism economy and biotech corridor drive demand on the coast, and the Greenville-Spartanburg region benefits from the concentration of international manufacturers and corporate regional offices.
