Job Overview
Step into a Materials Manager, Warehouse & Inventory role with ILC Dover, an Ingersoll Rand brand company blending NASA-born innovation with critical life science impact. As part of our Chemicals team, you’ll support the manufacture of high-quality materials and media used in GLP-1 production, upstream bioreactors, custom chemical solutions, complex formulations, and WFI-quality water—all within a regulated, quality-driven environment where precision, compliance, and operational excellence matter.
The Materials Manager leads daily materials flow across the site, with primary ownership of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, replenishment, and material availability to support production and customer commitments. While the role includes planning and purchasing coordination, the core focus is ensuring inventory is accurate, available, properly transacted, and aligned with business needs. This role partners closely with production, planning, procurement, quality, engineering, finance, and sales to support materials from BOM setup and planning through final shipment. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse and materials management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally medical device, drug product, API, excipients, or related pharmaceutical settings.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who values inventory accuracy, traceability, compliance, and process discipline—and wants meaningful ownership, team leadership, and the ability to make a visible impact in a nimble, collaborative operation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team responsible for warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, replenishment, and material flow to support production and customer commitments.
- Oversee end-to-end materials flow across the site, ensuring materials are available, accurately transacted, and properly controlled from receipt through shipment.
- Manage inventory accuracy and inventory-related processes, including replenishment, transaction discipline, cycle count support, and aging inventory control.
- Partner with planning, purchasing, production, quality, engineering, finance, and sales to support material availability, cost alignment, and operational execution.
- Help balance inventory levels and purchasing activity to support service, cost, and production requirements while avoiding overstock and shortages.
- Maintain and improve processes related to receiving, warehouse movement, storage, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
- Support new products, projects, and material setup activities by helping ensure bills of material, costing inputs, and material readiness are aligned for execution.
- Monitor key materials metrics and transaction accuracy, helping ensure process flow, reporting integrity, and performance against operational goals.
- Work with quality and operations teams to support timely material release, compliance, and execution in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes, systems, and supporting tools to improve efficiency, visibility, and overall materials performance.
