There are two areas of responsibility for this position. As a Product Manager the goal is to maximize sales, profits and GMROI for the product lines assigned. This is achieved by managing, purchasing and promoting these product lines as well as evaluating the potential for new lines. Inclusive in managing these product lines is the management of the supplier relationship to create a business partner.
Job Description:
1. The LBM Product Manager reports to the LBM Business Manager. This position will report to the President for inventory and budget reviews.
2. The Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of purchasing, inventory management, pricing, technical support, marketing/promotional activities and complaint resolution. These duties are critical to being successful and profitable in the marketplace. Daily contact with Bennett suppliers, sales teams, and Business Manager is necessary. The PM should be the primary contact for these suppliers to foster a healthy business partnership. Budgets by product line will be jointly established annually by setting criteria for sales, gross margin and GMROI.
3. With the assistance of the LBM Business Manager, the PM continually assesses possible extensions to the product offering and makes changes to add or delete items and suppliers when necessary. To launch new product lines as needed to complement our existing product lines while working off damaged and discontinued products or product lines.
4. The PM needs to initiate and maintain relationships with Key LBM customers to enhance our partnership and market penetration relative to these product lines.
5. The PM is responsible for the sourcing and selection of product SKUs, suppliers, inventory levels, and pricing strategies in coordination with the Business Manager. The PM facilitates and sources both general inventory needs and special-order requirements via a daily review of inventory demand and projected demand for LBM division. The PM is responsible for the accuracy of Bennett system costing, pricing, and inventory accuracy. Specific product promotional plans are developed in conjunction with the Business Manager.
6. The PM job is a five days a week in-office position.

Scope:
The PM is responsible for the sourcing and selection of product SKUs, suppliers, inventory levels, and pricing strategies in coordination with the Business Manager. The PM facilitates and sources both general inventory needs and special-order requirements via a daily review of inventory demand and projected demand for LBM division. The PM is responsible for the accuracy of Bennett system costing, pricing, and inventory accuracy. Specific product promotional plans are developed in conjunction with the Business Manager.
Compensation:
Competitive salary, compensation commensurate with experience. Annual performance and compensation review on the anniversary of hire. Salary range is $55k-$85k.
