As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding our existing customer base through proactive sales efforts. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes, sells, and secures new accounts for the company
- Promotes, markets, and sells companies' services
- Schedules and carries out sales calls with established and potential customers
- Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs
- Prepares, coordinates, and communicates price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors.
- Researches and orders special products as necessary
- Continuously network and develop sales with local contractors and builders
- Cultivates and manages customer relationships
- Educates customers on MSBS
- Increase sales and profit margins within a geographic territory
- Resolves customer complaints and problems
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Sales experience: at least 2 years (preferred)
- Must be highly motivated, energetic, and driven to succeed in sales
- Must be an articulate, passionate, and compelling presenter
- Has strong communication and social skills
- Enjoys meeting and working with new people
- Has a hunger for success and is willing to go the extra mile
- Have the ability to build trust-based relationships with local contractors and builders
- Committed to setting and achieving goals
- Ability to work as a team and help motivate others
- Experience in the construction industry a plus
- Proficient in MS Office
- College degree (preferred, but not required)
