Position Overview

Camden Francis is seeking a talented, professional, and detail-oriented Assistant Personal Chef to prepare high-quality, restaurant-style dinners at his private condominium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This part-time opportunity is ideal for a culinary school graduate, aspiring private chef, or culinary professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in private dining and personalized meal preparation.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a strong understanding of Italian, American, and Mexican cuisines, and the ability to create delicious, visually appealing meals tailored to individual preferences.

The position requires availability two evenings per week, with flexibility in coordinating dinner schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality dinners twice per week at a private condominium.
• Create customized menus featuring Italian, American, and Mexican cuisine.
• Prepare a variety of dishes, including pasta, seafood, steak, chicken, and other gourmet meals.
• Assist with weekly meal planning, recipe selection, and ingredient sourcing.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Ensure meals are prepared and presented according to high standards.
• Accommodate dietary preferences, special requests, and occasional menu changes.
• Manage food preparation, cooking, plating, and post-dinner kitchen cleanup.
• Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality within a private residential setting.
• Occasionally assist with preparing meals for private guests or small dinner gatherings, subject to advance agreement.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum five years of cooking experience, including professional, restaurant, catering, or comparable culinary experience.
• Education: Must have attended a recognized culinary school or completed a culinary arts training program.
• Culinary Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Italian, American, and Mexican cuisines.
• Location: Must reside in Fort Lauderdale or the surrounding area and have reliable transportation.
• Background: Must successfully complete a lawful, job-related background screening.
• Availability: Must be available to prepare dinner two evenings per week.
• Professionalism: Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, reliability, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Food Safety: Knowledge of safe food handling, proper sanitation, and kitchen organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current culinary student or recent culinary school graduate seeking private-chef experience or a culinary internship.
• Experience preparing meals for private clients, executives, or upscale households.
• Strong presentation and food-plating abilities.
• Creativity in developing personalized menus.
• Experience preparing gourmet meals with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Ability to work independently in a private residential kitchen.
• Interest in developing a long-term career in personal chef services or private hospitality.

Schedule and Working Environment

The Assistant Personal Chef will work two evenings per week, preparing dinner at Camden Francis's private condominium in Fort Lauderdale.

Working hours will be coordinated in advance based on availability and dinner requirements. This is an in-person position with a flexible, part-time schedule.
