Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement and Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, optimizing supply chain activities, and ensuring smooth operational workflows. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement expertise, excellent vendor management skills, and a passion for streamlining operations to support our company’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities across various categories, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Utilize ERP systems to process purchase orders, manage finished goods inventory, coordinate freight, track inventory levels, and support materials management.
- Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Support vendor contract negotiations with Dir of Operations and CFO ensuring favorable terms aligned with companies needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance to coordinate supply chain activities.
- Perform root cause analysis on procurement or supply chain issues to implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and utilizing online portals for freight, and inventory management.
- Expertise in vendor management, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with vendors and internal stakeholders across departments.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement category management is highly desirable.
