Regional Account Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional account manager in Washington?
Most regional account manager roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline, followed by direct sales or account management experience. Washington does not require a state-issued license for the role itself, though positions in specialized sectors such as insurance, real estate, or financial services may require Washington state licensure through the relevant regulatory board. Building a portfolio of quantifiable sales results and earning a CRM certification strengthens candidacy significantly.
How much do regional account managers make in Washington?
Regional account managers in Washington earn a median of about $174,000 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,000 for the lowest 10% to over $291,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional account managers in Washington?
Employers hiring regional account managers in Washington right now include Bayer, Optum, and Astellas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's deep concentration of technology, life sciences, and aerospace firms means many of these openings involve managing enterprise or B2B accounts tied to the state's largest commercial industries.
Which Washington cities have the most regional account manager jobs?
Seattle, Kennewick, and Washington State have the most regional account manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue dominate because of the region's concentration of technology headquarters, healthcare systems, and professional services firms, while Spokane draws openings tied to manufacturing distribution, agriculture supply chain, and regional financial services serving eastern Washington and the broader Inland Northwest.
Are there remote regional account manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than many sales roles, since account managers focused on software, SaaS, or inside sales can conduct much of their work remotely. About 100% of regional account manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the state's strong technology sector presence. Roles tied to physical territory management, medical device accounts, or distribution tend to require regular in-person client visits.
How can I get hired as a regional account manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a sales development representative or inside sales role at a Washington technology or healthcare company, then moving into account management after demonstrating revenue performance. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Stryker run structured sales associate and rotational programs that bring in candidates without prior account management experience. Earning a Salesforce certification or completing a recognized sales methodology course gives candidates an edge when applying to competitive openings at Seattle and Bellevue-area employers.
Where can I find and apply to regional account manager jobs in Washington?
