Sales Consultant Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales consultant in Utah?
Most sales consultant roles in Utah require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers hire candidates with equivalent experience. Utah does not require a general sales license, but consultants selling securities or insurance must obtain state-specific credentials through the Utah Department of Insurance or FINRA. Building familiarity with Utah's dominant sectors, particularly SaaS, fintech, and medical devices, strengthens any application significantly.
Which companies hire sales consultants in Utah?
Utah sales consultant roles are posted by Ken Garff Automotive, Visionary Homes, and Prime Communications and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's dense concentration of technology and financial services companies along the Wasatch Front means hiring activity tends to remain consistent year-round across both enterprise and mid-market segments.
Which Utah cities have the most sales consultant jobs?
Salt Lake City, Orem, and Ogden account for the largest share of sales consultant openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market as the state's commercial center, Provo benefits from the high concentration of SaaS and tech companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor, and St. George supports a growing mix of real estate, financial services, and regional retail sales roles.
Are there remote sales consultant jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields, because consultative sales work is largely phone- and video-based and does not require a physical presence at most companies. About 60% of sales consultant openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role adapts to distributed work. Inside sales and SaaS account management positions are the most commonly offered in fully remote formats.
How can I get hired as a sales consultant in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or business development representative role, which many of Utah's Silicon Slopes technology companies use specifically to bring in candidates without prior closing experience. Employers like Qualtrics and Adobe run structured new-hire onboarding programs that develop consultative skills from the ground up. Completing a Utah-based sales bootcamp or earning a FINRA Series 63 registration, if targeting financial services, signals commitment and gives candidates an edge over other applicants without a traditional background.
Where can I find and apply to sales consultant jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to sales consultant jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across industries and experience levels. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target sector, and apply directly to each position that fits your goals.
