Territory Sales Representative Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory sales representative in Utah?
Territory sales representative roles in Utah do not require a state-issued license for most industries, so the path centers on education and experience. Most Utah employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with prior sales or customer-facing experience. In regulated sectors like medical devices or pharmaceuticals, employers provide product-specific training and may require manufacturer certifications. Building familiarity with Utah's key industries, particularly technology, healthcare, and outdoor goods, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
How much do territory sales representatives make in Utah?
Territory sales representatives in Utah earn a median of about $61,980 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,770 for the lowest 10% to over $125,390 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory sales representatives in Utah?
Companies currently hiring territory sales representatives in Utah include PepsiCo, Rep-Lite, and Leaf Home, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's mix of large healthcare systems, technology firms, and regional distribution companies creates consistent demand for field sales professionals.
Which Utah cities have the most territory sales representative jobs?
Salt Lake City have the most territory sales representative openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market as the state's commercial and healthcare hub, while Provo benefits from the dense technology corridor along Silicon Slopes, and St. George reflects the region's growth in construction, distribution, and consumer goods.
Are there remote territory sales representative jobs in Utah?
Yes, but they're limited, since territory sales is by nature a field-based, relationship-driven role that requires regular in-person client contact. About 67% of territory sales representative openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and most of those involve inside sales support or account management functions rather than traditional field coverage. Roles in technology and SaaS tend to allow the most scheduling flexibility.
How can I get hired as a territory sales representative in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role, which large Utah employers like Qualtrics, Domo, and regional medical distributors use as a pipeline for field sales talent. Applying to associate territory representative programs at companies headquartered along the Wasatch Front gives you structured training and a defined promotion path. Completing a manufacturer's certified training program or earning a Salesforce certification can offset a thin experience record, and any retail or account coordination background in Utah's outdoor, healthcare, or tech sectors reads well to hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to territory sales representative jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to territory sales representative jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings. Search the listings to find roles that match your industry background and territory preference, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
